Geeks In Medicine and Friends
Hello. I am technically not in the medical field...yet. I'm wanting to enter nursing and I also study a lot with lenapie. I've been helping her study her med stuff since last year and I find it incredibly interesting. I'm going to be moving across state lines to go to a good school. It's going to take me at least a year to be able to apply for the nursing program, but it'll be all worth it. lenapie reminds me that after 20 years, nobody is going to care if I started nursing school in 2008, or 2009. I look forward to entering the medical field.

I have a degree in Network Engineering, but after I got it, I realized that my interest in computers wasn't as strong as my interest in the scientific/medical field. I even got a "Physical Diagnosis" book for my birthday that recently passed. I've been reading it as I play a turn-based strategy game called "Age of Wonders : Shadow Magic". I've also picked up some used textbooks at the local bookstore. I just can't get enough of this stuff. Between gaming, anime, and other typical geek stuff (as well as having great friends) is all that I need in my life. I look forward to having fun here.

"'The friends you make in Undergrad [for me before nursing school] will be the ones that last. The friends you make in [nursing] you meet while under stress and most likely won't last long after you graduate'."

I kinda of think nurses might be an exception to that statement, simply because my Mom made great friends in nursing school and because I've met some nursing students and they're all so nice and dedicated to their career choices. :D

You know me though. I'll either be the quiet one, or the outspoken one. Either one I can see myself being ostracizes me fron the rest of the people. **shrugs** I have plenty of great friends right now, so I'm not worried. =0)
